Entrepreneurship is not a new or uncommon term, and nowadays there are many companies formed every year. How long do they last and are they profitable?

Briefly, it is the career path in which we are creating and building a brand of our own. We are working for its procurement & human resource, operations & finance, sales & marketing, and even as a custodian. We are converting our basements and our secondary homes as our office spaces. Basically, we start everything on our own and from our own. How exciting does it sound...or it does not?

Well, there will always be varied opinions and discourses on this career path. Some will not even think on it, some will ponder over it but will not dare to plunge, some will quit after doing it for sometime. Some will plan it, save for it, put all their energy and resources in it, make it big and will never quit.

Like everything else in the world, there would be different stories of successes and failures and they will be case based. There are many pros and cons of this career path and all of them must be thought well before we decide to experience the thrills and the obstacles that it offers.

If I am asked to focus on the most important benefit of this career path, It would be its ability and necessity to make us think everyday in an innovative way. There is hardly any monotony. While working for our own brand, we will constantly look for new ideas to keep our brand upgraded and to sustain it in a global marketplace.

Some days will be hard with no profits, but some days will be rewarding enough to sustain us for a long time. Yes, that is true, we might not have a steady flow of income in the beginning but if we have resilience to keep going and perseverance to pursue, we will definitely make it big.

Many of us must have come here by chance but some of us have seen it happening around us since childhood. Any guesses? How many of us belong to the family of farmers? Didn't we observe the process from seeding to selling the fruits.

Didn't we watch our uncle running a restaurant or a travel business. Remember? Now we know where this interest came from. Whatever analogy we choose to justify our quest to create our own brand, the important thing here is to plan the finances ahead and have the patience and perseverance until it gets profitable.

The next goal would be to sustain the profits!
