Do you struggle with confusion about your goals before deciding and taking your next step. Don’t be afraid.

Being unaware of a confused state of mind may sometimes lead to displeasure but knowing that you are confused but still persevering will make you explore many uncharted territories. After a few years, when you look back and introspect, you will be proud of your learnings, and you may be better positioned to make more informed and conscious decisions about your next professional step.
For instance, you may have decided to become a lawyer when you were 17. By the time you reach your early 30s, you realize you will love to explore something else. But you are afraid that you will have to start from scratch and that is exactly what holds you back. Now, you want to become a sales professional. That’s normal. There are so many skills that you can use to your advantage, the biggest being the ability to communicate and connect with your audience.
There can be good strong personal reasons for not exploring, like established career and financial dependencies. But, if you are confused, and you can afford to experiment by finding the right balance, then, be fearless and give it a shot. Trust me, you may surprise yourself and quench the thirst of your confused soul.
Not everyone knows what to do when they are young or even in later years. There is nothing like a lifelong pursuit especially when you are confused and moreover when we live in such an innovative era with so much to experiment and explore. Just learn, perfect and repeat. Being an experienced professional gives you an ability to leverage all your transferable skills. Referring to the above example of transformation from law to sales, you can use the very first task of switching careers as your first sales project. May be the most difficult one, because you will have to convince the other side of your sales acumen and in this case, you are the product yourself.
Another instance, you may be 17 or 24 and still trying to figure out what you want from your life. Totally confused and perplexed. That’s normal. Just remember the above example. In 15 years from now, do you want to be someone with abundant experience which you can channelize in whatever direction you want or someone who did not advance just because they allowed fear to take control of themselves.
Switch on the ignition, start, learn, and reset. There is nothing to lose. Exploration will give you a broader horizon. None of us know what the future will look like. That’s the beauty of life.
Sometimes confusion is bliss - just embrace it and enjoy the magic!
